How we handle the data of those who visit the site and those who write to us
A few rules, written plainly: what data we collect, why, who sees it and how to ask for it to be deleted.
Who handles the data
The data controller is FM Studio Consulenza, VAT number IT03829650989, Chiari (BS), Italy. For any privacy request, write to info@fmstudioconsulenza.it.
What data we collect and why
- Contact form: name, email, phone and message are used only to reply to whoever writes to us. The legal basis is the request itself (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data is not passed on to anyone or used to send advertising.
- Browsing data: the server automatically records the technical data the site needs to work, such as the IP address and the pages requested, and uses it only for security.
- Google Analytics: measures, in aggregate form, how many people visit the site and which pages they read.
- Blog counter: counts article readings without cookies and without personal data.
Giving your data in the form is up to you. Without an email address or a phone number, though, we cannot reply.
The data is not used to profile anyone or to make automated decisions.
Who else sees the data
Only the suppliers needed to run the site see the data, appointed as data processors:
- Railway, which hosts the site and stores the messages sent through the form;
- Brevo, which delivers the form messages to our mailbox;
- Register.it, which runs our email;
- Google, for Analytics and for the text fonts (Google Fonts);
- OpenFreeMap, which provides the map on the Contact page.
Google and Railway may transfer data to the United States, with the safeguards required by the GDPR: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
For how long
We keep messages for as long as we need to reply, and in any case no longer than twenty-four months if no working relationship follows. Google Analytics data stays with Google for no more than fourteen months.
The rights of those who write to us
Anyone who writes to us can ask at any time to:
- see what data we hold;
- correct or delete it;
- restrict its use or object to the processing;
- receive it in a readable format, to take it elsewhere.
Just write to info@fmstudioconsulenza.it (Articles 15-22 GDPR). Anyone who believes their data is being handled improperly can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Cookies
The site uses only these cookies, all from Google Analytics:
- _ga: tells one visitor from another without knowing who they are, and lasts two years;
- _ga_Y1GYXW3KY8: keeps count of visits and pages viewed, and lasts two years.
The blog’s “Like” button remembers in the browser that the like has already been given. It is not a cookie and holds no personal data.
Cookies can be blocked or deleted in the browser settings. For Google Analytics there is also Google’s add-on that opts you out of the measurements.
